Is that not the coolest thing? I told Chris I'm not packing it up with the Halloween stuff. It's staying out. He thinks I'm ridiculous. I like it!!
Chris left for Japan early yesterday morning. His flight left at 8:24 for LAX, and then on to Japan. We left the house at 6 AM to take him. Alarm was set for 5:20 AM. This morning (Sunday, the day after he left) he made his final call before going to bed for the first time - at almost 10 AM. So, he's been up for 29 hours straight, with the exception of whatever Zs he was able to catch en route. Plus, when he called at 5 AM to let me know he was in Okanawa (?) he said he'd call when they got to the hotel - an estimated 2 hours. He was only three hours off...and on top of that, poor guy is yakking. He said motion sickness - I was like "Were you riding in the back of the car?" Yes, he was. BAD news for him. He doesn't do well in the back of any car. I hope he's over it by the time he wakes up.

I pay for the appraisal on Monday - it had the inspection on Friday - so I'm hoping everything keeps going forward...this is so effing stressful...

It's his two weeks a year with the reserves...next time, though, it'll be Guantanamo Bay (!). He told one of his higher-ups that he knew all about Guantanamo Bay (am I spelling that right?) because he saw Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay...*snort*
